The State of Our Nation
Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States. We MUST pray for his personal safety and for his family. We MUST ask God to send His angels to encompass them and to protect them from ANY harm. It would be a terrible day in this land if anything were to happen to any of them while he is the Sitting President. This country would erupt in a firestorm of riots and civil unrest unlike we have ever seen.
We MUST pray for our country and every local, state, and national official (legislative, executive, and judicial) regardless of their party affiliation!
This is a prayer written by Dr. Charles Stanley, "Pray that our elected officials would (you can pray for all 3 branches of government and everyone who works with, or for, our government):
1. Recognize their personal sinfulness and need for the cleansing power of Jesus Christ.
2. Understand their inadequacy for the task before them and their need to pray for God's wisdom, knowledge, and courage.
3. Reject ALL counsel that violates the spiritual principles of God's Word and be willing to trust God to lead them in the right direction.
4. Resist the pressures of those who would lead them astray or tempt them to disobey the Lord and His will for their lives.
5. Work to reverse the trend toward ungodliness in our land and to restore America's Christ-centered values.
6. Be prepared to make godly choices in the best interest of America, regardless of the cost.
7. Rely upon the Word of God and prayer for strength and success.
8. Maintain dignity, honor, trustworthiness, and righteousness while in office.
9. Strive to be a godly example to the men, women, and children of this land.
10. Remember that while in office, they are accountable to God for their attitudes, actions, and motives."
11. (Added by me) That ALL dealings with Israel and other nations, or entities, would work to ensure that the ancient foundations of righteousness, justice, and TRUTH, along with Israel's Biblical boundaries, may be re-established as decreed in covenant with ALMIGHTY GOD through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!
This country is spiritually and morally bankrupt. We allow the morally corrupt to dictate what we teach our children and allow over the airwaves. We glorify despicable people like Perez Hilton, Howard Stern, Madonna, Rosie O'Donnell, Hugh Hefner, etc… Yet the people of this country are being taught that is it okay to despise, ridicule, and condemn our Christian leaders, and those who try to live their lives how God wants them too. We have allowed the vocal minority to remove prayer from our schools; the 10 Commandments from our courts and any public buildings; made it unacceptable to say the Pledge of Allegiance; are trying to remove “In God We Trust” from our money; and made it acceptable to kill millions of unborn children a year through abortion. As we continue to be removed further and further from God’s favor (our nation was founded on the Word of God!!!) He will remove His protection from this nation and literally ALL Hell will break loose.
God told Ezekiel in 22:29-31, "The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."
*** Christians throughout this land must unite with one voice, turn to God, and repent for our sins (and the sins of this nation). We must ask God to turn away His wrath and judgment from this land. We must "make a wall, and stand in the gap" before God and lift up this nation in the name of Jesus Christ!!!
In 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 God told Solomon, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place."
We cannot live in fear or confusion. Jesus said in John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." We are living in amazing times! It may sound weird or funny, but I am excited to be living now. I truly would not pick another time in history to be alive. Why? Because this is the time that God picked for me. I get to watch firsthand as Biblical prophecy is fulfilled - NOW - at a rapid rate! He has placed each of us here, now, for a purpose. God knows how it is all going to end. BTW, we do too. :) It's all in His Word - the Bible. We have NO REASON to fear or cower. Jesus is our Rock and our Fortress. He is the Light and the Way. Paul said in Romans 8:37-39 "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
GOD STILL REIGNS
Daniel 2:20-21 says, "Daniel answered and said: 'Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have uderstanding.'"
"Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?" asked the psalmist. "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and His Anointed, saying, 'Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us.'"
The words King David wrote more than 2000 years ago, fit our times. Then, as now, the leaders joined together to plot the end of God's reign. They would destroy His influence, break free from His natural order, and establish a new form of government based on their own imagination. History shows the devastating results. But God continues to reign! No matter how much people shun, mock or slander Him, He remains God. We, not He, become the losers when we ignore Him and shun His truth.
"The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing, He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect," wrote the author of Psalm 33. "The counsel of the Lord stands forever." To those who know His wisdom, that's good news!
The bad news is that most of the world is following false counsel. It's time for Americans to wake up, return to God, and stand together against the oppressive forces that now surround and permeate America.
Meanwhile there is no need for fear. Someone has wisely said, "Christianity is designed to be lived in difficult places." No matter how hard it gets, He offers shelter to all who trust Him and follow His wisdom.
"The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD

To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10). God’s people are commanded to “be still” in this verse. The imperative gives a solemn duty to those in a covenant relationship with God—Israel in the Old Testament, but today, it is given to Christians (Galatians 3:26-29). What does it mean when God’s own are commanded to “be still?” The injunction is not given to restrict the mobility of God’s people. The duty represents a spiritual disposition that ought to characterize those to whom God’s unfailing promises have been given.
